Practice iv of v · Cloud and agent infrastructure
Availability, observability and cost, visible from day one.
The infrastructure your agents and models depend on: provisioned as code, observable by default, built for low latency and high availability, and sized for a bill you can defend.
99.7% uptimeOn the production AI systems we operate today.
01 The problem we solve
Infrastructure nobody can see into.
AI workloads are bursty, stateful and expensive. Platforms built for yesterday's web traffic tend to fail them in three predictable ways.
Cost discovered at month end
Inference and training spend arrives as a surprise on the invoice, because nothing tied it to a service, a team or a budget while it was being incurred.
Outages you hear about from customers
Without traces, metrics and alerts on every agent step, a slow model or a failed tool call is invisible until someone complains.
Environments built by hand
Hand-built environments drift apart and cannot be reproduced. A model release then becomes a manual event rather than a pipeline with a rollback.
02 What we deliver
The ground it runs on, built to scale quietly.
Architected for uptime, security and cost, and built to grow with the load. Everything is defined as code, so any environment can be rebuilt from the repository.
Cloud migration and landing zones
Accounts, networks, identity and guardrails set up once and correctly, then workloads moved across in planned steps.

Infrastructure as code and CI/CD for AI
Every environment in the repository, and release pipelines that test, evaluate and roll back model and agent versions like any other change.

Agent observability
Traces, metrics and logs for every agent step and model call, with alerts on latency, errors and the service levels you agreed.

Cost visibility and control
Spend attributed to each service from the first deploy, budgets with alerts, and a monthly review that sizes the platform to the bill you can defend.

What you see on day one
Availability, latency, spend and error budget on one screen from the first deploy, with all spend attributed to a service and a budget. The same view is what we review with you each month under managed operations.
03 How an engagement runs
Run by the people who built it.
We start from your current estate, your bill and your incident history, and finish with a platform we stay on call for.
Engagement path
Discovery
Weeks 1 to 2Fixed-fee assessment of the current estate, spend, incidents and service levels.
Architecture
Weeks 2 to 4Landing zone, service levels, cost budgets per service and the migration order.
Build
Week 4 onwardDedicated senior team, minimum three months, everything provisioned as code.
Run
OngoingManaged operations: on-call, incident response, monthly cost and capacity reviews.
What is agreed before the build
Service levels and budgets, in writing.
04 · Case study, payments
Ten million dollars of transactions, confirmed.
A rewards platform needed bill payments across many providers to clear reliably and instantly. Algobain built the payment and ledger infrastructure underneath it.
Read the coin rewards case studyThe brief
One platform to pay bills across 50+ utility and service providers, with rewards for paying on time and no room for a payment that clears twice or not at all.
What we built
Card processing through Stripe, ACH bank transfers, a wallet, instant payment confirmation, refund and dispute workflows, and a ledger with anti-fraud controls.
What it runs on
Node.js services on PostgreSQL with a React web client, engineered for the transaction volume of a platform with 35,000+ active users.
Client view, another engagement
“We grew by an order of magnitude without re-architecting. The system simply held.”

Moving a live system onto new ground.
Most infrastructure work happens underneath a system that has to stay up. These pieces cover how.
06 Questions
What platform and finance teams ask.
- Which clouds do you work on?
- AWS, Azure and GCP, provisioned with Terraform. We work in your accounts, under your identity and billing, so the platform stays yours if we ever step away.
- How is the 99.7% uptime measured?
- It is the uptime across the production AI systems Algobain operates under managed operations today. Each new platform gets its own service levels, agreed per service during architecture. [Confirm measurement window and method before publishing.]
- How do you keep the bill in check?
- Spend is attributed to a service from the first deploy, each service has a budget with alerts, and capacity and cost are reviewed with you every month under managed operations.
- Who is on call?
- The engineers who built the platform. Incident response is part of managed operations, not a separate support desk.
- Can you take over infrastructure someone else built?
- Yes. The assessment maps what exists, what is undocumented and what is at risk, and the first build increments bring it under code and monitoring before anything is changed.
- Where is our data hosted?
- In the region you choose. Delivery is GDPR-compliant, our practices are SOC 2-aligned (not certified), and a DPA is available on request for EU and UK entities. See Trust.
